Tilo Kids (package com.tilokids.app) is made by ARAMEGA, Cairo, Egypt. It was made by the father of an autistic boy, as a calm place for children to watch the videos and photos their parents choose and to say what they want with pictures.
Tilo Kids does not ask for, collect or send us any personal information about you or your child. It has no sign-up or account, and it does not collect contact details, location, contacts, device identifiers or usage analytics. The only thing the app ever sends to us is the subscription check described below, which contains no personal details.
To work, the app keeps the following in its private storage on your device. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else, and it is excluded from Android cloud backups.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Your chosen photos and videos | Only the files you pick in Android's file picker, so they can be shown in child mode. |
| Microphone | Only when a parent records a voice for a Talk card. Asked at that moment, never used in the background. |
| Fingerprint or face (optional) | To open parent mode faster, if you turn it on. Android checks your fingerprint or face; the app never receives biometric data. |
| Internet and Google Play billing | Used by Google Play to process the subscription, and by the app for the subscription check and, in trial versions, the trial check below. Nothing else is sent. |
| Keep screen on | Keeps the screen awake while a video plays. |
Subscriptions, including the free trial, are sold and billed by Google Play. Google handles all payment information; we never receive your card or payment details. The app only receives the subscription status from Google Play to unlock its features. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can cancel at any time in Google Play.
If you have a subscription, every few days the app sends two tokens to our server at aramega.com: the Google Play purchase token for your subscription, and a Google Play Integrity token. Our server uses them only to ask Google whether the subscription is valid and whether the app is the genuine version from Google Play, then sends back a yes or no. This protects the app from fake purchases.
These tokens contain no name, email address or other personal details. We do not store them or link them to you. To stop abuse, the server counts requests per hour using a one-way scrambled form of the internet address, and deletes those counts within two hours.
Trial (tester) versions of the app, installed through Google Play testing, are free until a set date. To know whether the trial is still running, they read a small file on our server at aramega.com at least every few days. That request sends no data about you, your child or your device; like any visit to a website, our server sees the internet address it comes from, which we do not keep or link to you.
If you sign up for the trial on tilokids.app, we receive what you type in the form: whether you are a parent, a center or a specialist, your name and center name if you give them, the email address of your Google account, your WhatsApp number and your device type, plus the time you signed up. We use them only to add your Google account to the Google Play test, to tell you about the trial, and to let you know when the iPhone and iPad version is ready.
This list is kept privately on our server, is not shared or sold, and is deleted when the trial ends or when you ask us. The website itself uses no ads, analytics or tracking cookies; it loads its font from Google Fonts.
Talk cards play a parent's recording, a voice built into the app, or the text-to-speech engine already installed on your device. That engine is provided by your device maker or Google under their own terms.
Tilo Kids is designed for children and follows the Google Play Families Policy. We do not collect personal information from children, show ads, or include third-party analytics or advertising tools. Settings, adding content and purchases are behind a parent PIN.
We do not sell, rent or share any data. The app collects none, and the website sign-up list stays with us. If you use "Settings backup", the app writes a file containing your settings and category names to a place you choose; that file stays under your control.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
